Reminders of life as normal

IMG_0347.JPG

COVID-19 is serious business, but in the midst of the crisis, we all need occasional reminders of life as normal. With the heinous attack from nature in the form of the coronavirus, I thought the above photo, taken by Craig Dimmick, the board chairperson of Living FORward, was an apt reminder of the beauty of this planet we live on. Thanks, Craig!

Another diversion from the prevalent anxieties can come in the form of a little light-hearted humor. I offer these three limericks in that spirit:

Corona, the virus “novelle”
A growing and onerous swell
Puts all in their house
And some parents grouse
“I think I’ve been sent off to hell!”

————

Corona has spread in a flash
And off to the stores did we dash
A now common gripe:
“No TP to wipe!”
Can you please spare a roll from your stash?

————

Oh where would we be without Zoom?
An antidote to pending gloom
It gives us a chance
For a virtual dance
So we’re not stuck alone in our room

————

May you be finding moments of laughter, beauty, and especially love each day.

Please feel free to share this post….
